VICKI POWER

WHAT’S HOT TO WATCH TODAY

-

EX-Corrie star Michelle Keegan swaps Weatherfield for a war zone in the military drama OUR GIRL (9pm, BBC1), which returns with eight more episodes. But Corporal Georgie Lane’s heart is still sore after the love of her life, Elvis, died in the last season’s finale, blown up by an Afghan bomb.

To heal her wounds, Georgie throws herself into a new mission with 2-Section as she heads to Nigeria to help train local forces in their fight against the jihadist group Boko Haram, famous for kidnapping schoolgirls.

But Georgie’s gung-ho attitude gets her into serious trouble – she fails to obey orders and ends up kidnapped herself.

IT’S all going wrong for Mel Owen in EASTENDERS (7.30pm, BBC1).

Blamed by Phil for the robbery at E20 and forced to come up with the money to pay him back within a week, she confides in Jack. He does his best to help, before Billy puts himself in the frame for a robbery he didn’t commit.

Then Woody has a bright idea that just might work. INFLATABLE hot tub, anyone? It may not be such a silly idea if you’re looking to save money and space on a bubbly leisure pool, as Birds Of A Feather stars Linda Robson and Lesley Joseph discover in HOW TO SPEND IT WELL: HOUSE AND GARDEN WITH PHILLIP SCHOFIELD (8pm, ITV).

Phillip Schofield and his showbiz mates road-test the hottest new items for your home inside and out.

Chris Kamara examines whether a top of the range fan keeps you cooler than a budget buy, while reality star Stacey Solomon and her sons try out the best garden games under £50.
