‘Neo-Nazi’ plot to butcher MP

- ® by JAMES CAVEN

A SUSPECTED neo-Nazi yesterday admitted plotting to murder a Labour MP with a machete.

Jack Renshaw bought a 19in blade to kill West Lancashire MP Rosie Cooper.

He then planned to take hostages in a bid to lure a police officer, Victoria Henderson, who he also wanted to kill.

Renshaw, 23, of Skelmersdale, Lancs, admitted the plot on the first day of trial yesterday.

He denies being a member of banned neo-Nazi group National Action.

The Old Bailey heard he was given permission to kill her on behalf of the group by its alleged leader Christopher Lythgoe, 32, of Woolston, Cheshire, who told him: “Don’t f*** it up.”

Lythgoe denies giving permission to murder. He also denies being a member of the group, along with Matthew Hankinson, 24, Andrew Clarke, 33, Michal Trubini, 26, and Garron Helm, 25.

Duncan Atkinson QC, prosecuting, said Renshaw planned a “politically and racially motivated murder”, and was given Lythgoe’s “blessing”.

He said: “The primary purpose of National Action remained the desire to start a race war and to free ‘white Britain’ of Jewish control and the proliferation of ethnic minorities.”

In May last year, Renshaw researched the “cutting of the jugular artery” and how long it would take to die, the court heard.

The trial continues. VILE PLAN: Renshaw TARGET: MP Rosie
