MUFASA from The Lion King is the nation’s favourite movie dad.

He beat Arthur Weasley, dad of Harry Potter’s best pal Ron, to top spot.

Contenders also included Atticus Finch from To Kill A Mockingbird and The Sound Of Music’s Captain Von Trapp.

Two thirds of dads turn to movies for parenting advice, a poll for Showcase Cinemas revealed.

The firm’s Mark Barlow said: “The silver screen has given rise to incredible fictional parents.”
