MARCUS RASHFORD has handed England an injury scare on the eve of the World Cup.

The Manchester United star has a knee problem and is now a doubt for the Three Lions’ opening game against Tunisia on Monday. Rashford, 20, picked up the injury during a training game at St George’s Park on Monday.

England boss Gareth Southgate confirmed the shock news moments after landing in St Petersburg with his squad yesterday.

Rashford (left) will be assessed by medical staff, but Southgate is confident the injury is not too serious. Losing the striker for the opening Group G clash against Tunisia in from JEREMY CROSS in Repino ENGLAND star Danny Rose has seen his dream £55m move to Manchester United collapse.

Boss Jose Mourinho is now understood to be happy with the left-back situation at Old Trafford, where Ashley Young, Luke Shaw and new boy Diogo Dalot will fight it out to start next season.

Rose revealed last week that he struggled with depression during an injury-hit last 18 months.

His candid admission has had no bearing on United’s decision to pull the plug on a deal.
