LOVE Island reject Hayley Hughes claims she is an “intelligent girl” who does not need to know about “silly things” like Brexit.
The Liverpudlian babe and her partner Charlie Frederick were dumped last night after a public vote. Viewers decided to keep in Dr Alex George and Samira Mighty – despite the fact they are only “platonic” friends.
Hayley had stunned viewers with her airhead comments. The 21-year-old claimed she had no idea what Brexit was, asking if it was to do with trees being chopped down. And then she told fellow islanders she did not know what earlobes were. After getting the boot, Hayley said: “I am an intelligent girl, it’s just when it comes to silly things, for me,
I just need someone explaining things to me.”
One of her school friends had revealed she scored three Bs at A-Level and studied Childhood and Youth Studies at uni.
But Hayley dropped out of Liverpool Hope University to pursue modelling. Meanwhile, Charlie, 23, moaned: “I’m absolutely gutted I had to leave, I would have certainly played my cards differently and not put all my effort into Hayley. I got nothing back.” But he promised to ruffle feathers if he were to be put back in the show by stealing Megan, Georgia or Rosie if he got the chance. Hayley’s jilted ex was celebrating her eviction last night.
Michael Leather was reportedly distraught when Hayley split up with him after five years.
Pals said that he got a friend to create an Instagram page slagging Hayley off. Called Hayley’s Lies On The Island, it has more than 14,000 likes and regularly posts insulting memes about her. One friend revealed: “Michael definitely is bitter.”
