Melania ‘ended migrant policy’

-

STRONG: The First Lady DONALD Trump’s wife Melania visited children in two secure units yesterday after helping persuade him to make a dramatic U-turn over migrant families.

The First Lady toured two facilities in Texas holding some of the 2,300 migrant kids sent there by the US government after their families entered the country illegally from Mexico.

The President has signed an executive order halting the controversial practice of separating youngsters from their relatives after a worldwide outcry.

Melania and her daughter Ivanka may have played a key role in forcing Trump to change his policy.

Both women “made their feelings known” to him about the controversial practice of taking children away from illegal immigrant parents.

The President admitted: “Ivanka feels very strongly, my wife feels very strongly about it. I think anybody with a heart would feel very strongly about it.”

Melania was joined by four former first ladies, after George Bush’s wife Laura called the practice “immoral” and likened it to World War Two internment camps.
