Sex ‘victim’ plea

A TOP judge has told police to stop calling people who report rape or sexual assaults “victims” if their allegations have not been proven.

Lord Justice Gross believes it pre-judges an attack has taken place and is also unfair on the accused – who could turn out to be innocent.

His call follows a series of collapsed rape and sex assault trials and scandals over futile police investigations.
