A MUM who was left unable to have an orgasm following an NHS blunder has been awarded a £1.5million payout.

Ginny Atchison, 45, claimed a failure by doctors to diagnose a serious spinal condition had destroyed her love life.

She said: “I enjoyed being intimate, having sex at least a few times a week when I was in a relationship. But I didn’t realise how important that was to me until it was gone. Sadly, no matter what I tried, I couldn’t feel a thing.”

Ginny thought she had pulled a muscle when she first felt back pain in 2008, but went to Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital two years later after it worsened.

Doctors said she had just slipped a disc.

But the following August

Ginny was rushed into surgery for cauda equina syndrome, caused by nerve damage at the base of the spine.

Ginny, of Norwich, who was warned she may never walk again, said: “My relationship with my partner at the time came to an end.”
