LEWIS HAMILTON admits England’s World Cup showdown against Panama is a distraction ahead of Sunday’s French Grand Prix.

England will still be playing their group game before the start of F1’s first return to France in a decade.

Hamilton, who is one point adrift of title rival Sebastian Vettel, said: “It’s going to be a little bit harder to focus. And I’m sure my engineers will be keeping an eye on it.”
