It’ll be a real sweat
ENGLAND will be feeling the heat again on Sunday.
The temperatures in Nizhny Novgorod are expected to top 30 degrees for their second Group G clash with Panama.
And the 3pm kick-off time will ensure the players are sweating from the start.
It will be a major change in conditions compared to their Repino base in Russia’s north west, where yesterday at
from JEREMY CROSS training the temperature was just 18 degrees.
Monday’s opening group game with Tunisia in Volgograd was played in 25 degrees and after an all-action start England ran out of steam in the second half.
With the temperature set to be even hotter on Sunday, there are fears a similar thing could happen again. Panama believe they will face the best England team of the last decade, according to midfielder Anibal Godoy.
“Every Panama player watches the Premier League every week,” said the San Jose Earthquakes star.
“It’s a different England. It’s not like 10 years ago. Now they have more quick players, more fresh players. They are stronger than they have been.”
