Sigma: Ora is so streetwise

-

SIGMA have compared their former collaborator to Kanye West.

The pair, who worked with Reets on Coming Home, insisted she has her finger on the button and knows how to stay relevant like the rapper.

And the dance duo say her controversial song Girls, which received criticism from the LGBTQ+ community, was actually a clever ploy by the singer.

Joe Lenzie told me: “There is always going to be an element of sensitivity when you’re talking about a subject close to people’s hearts.

“But sometimes the biggest tracks are made out of big political talking points so I think there might be an element that has gone on with that.

“Obviously I don’t know as I don’t know what happened behind the scenes.”

He added: “But if you can create something for people to talk about it’s great, I mean, Kanye West is the king of that isn’t he? You know he has an album coming out in a month’s time when he starts making ridiculous statements about Donald Trump, the most famous man in the world.”

Plus Joe added Rita’s constant flow of Instagram snaps helps: “Rita is amazing talent and she has a real online presence.

“That is one of the hardest things to be able to be relevant in an environment that is constantly changing, she has a real skill for that and you have to commend her for that.”

Sigma have just released new track Anywhere, but they would love to feature on

Rita’s forthcoming LP.

Joe teased: “I think there’s a track she might like.”
