LOVE Island security chiefs tackle would-be intruders trying to break into the villa five times a day.

Fans who have found the Majorca base keep trying to sneak in to get close to the lads and lasses.

Former contestant Alex Miller revealed the security guards have a busy time stopping them.

He said: “When I left, I chatted with the guys who looked after us.

“They told me at least five people a day try to access that villa – but so far no-one has got in.

“They’re clearly doing a good job! I was impressed.”

Essex glazier Alex said contestants are keen to find out how England are faring. He said: “We were begging them to tell us about the World Cup. But they’re trained to say nothing.”

Last night a show spokeswoman said: “There is round the clock, wide security coverage at the villa site and the islanders’ protection and safety is our top priority.”

Alex revealed some islanders are still ignoring warnings about drinking enough water and wearing sunscreen. He said: “Some forget and get heat stroke.”
