Legend Moon flick is back on

-

DRUMMER: Keith THE Who have revived plans for a movie biopic of their infamous wild drummer Keith Moon.

Roger Daltrey and Pete Townshend have hired a new writer for the project, which fell apart five years ago.

Daltrey admitted that he is concerned that the film must not become a story about the band, but solely on Moon’s madcap antics over two decades before his death in 1978.

Many thought the project was dead after a string of producers and writers tried to carve a drama.

Daltrey admitted: “There is a pulse (for the project) and we are working on it.

“We have a writer who is about to start working in September.

“Hopefully he will write it and not turn it into a Who film, because it is not a Who film. It’s a film about a drummer, who happened to be in The Who.”
