BABES from Newcastle have been rated the most body confident in the whole of the UK.
Geordies such as I’m A Celeb champ Vicky Pattison are the least likely to have hangups about their looks. A study of 2,000 women found those from the north-east are the most likely to keep the bedroom lights on or wear a bikini. Brighton girls also rated highly in the survey, followed by those from Sheffield and Cambridge. But the research by Veet hair removal showed that as a nation only about a quarter of women are truly happy with their body and would walk down a beach without a sarong.
The study claims the average woman has six body hang-ups, with their wobbly bellies topping the list.
Stretch marks, varicose veins, acne and wide hips were also of concern. About 13% moaned their boobs were too big.
Another 19% said they hated their crooked teeth.
But nearly three quarters of women said today’s generation are more body confident than previous ones.
Veet’s Marian Gual said: “While it’s great to see those in Newcastle, Brighton and Sheffield are comfortable in their own skin, there is always some room for improvement.”
