Sin shares worries

-

UNSURPRISINGLY Kevin Sinfield didn’t enjoy his first game in charge of Leeds, a 40-10 thrashing by Castleford.

With just three games left and the Rhinos in the bottom four, things are looking bleak.

But their new director of rugby is not the only one who will be suffering a few sleepless nights over the next few weeks.

Huddersfield are two points better off, in eighth, but have a shocking points difference and any slip-ups could let Leeds in.

One point above sit Catalans and Wakefield – but you’d back the Dragons to survive.

They have been on fire since Josh Drinkwater signed in April, jumping from bottom to seventh, and you’d back them to stay in form. But it’s Trinity who look most vulnerable, after losing three of their last four games. Yes, they were against leaders St Helens, Warrington and Catalans, but they are starting to look shaky.

They also have a tough run-in, with a trip to Headingley tomorrow to face a team and a crowd that will be determined to do Sinfield proud. They then host Hull before a final game that could be make or break against Huddersfield.

Both sides have three hard fixtures, whereas Catalans have at least one (Salford) and Leeds have two (Salford and Widnes) that could be easy wins.

It’s going to be tight and very tense.

Welcome back Mr Sinfield.
