TV CHRIS: THANKS ...BUT NO FRANKS

Lampard’s footie baby names ban

- ® by ROSS KANIUK

PREGNANT Christine Lampard has banned husband Frank from naming their baby after a football legend.

The TV beauty gave a red card to the idea after ex-England and Chelsea star Frank came up with a list of bizarre names.

Christine, who is seven months pregnant with her first child, told Derby boss Frank, 40, she wanted a name that was nice, rather than one that bore a link to some famous player or historical match. She said: “Calling him or her after any footballers is definitely off the agenda. I’ve warned Frank. We had a few discussions and it won’t be happening.”

Christine, 39, has said she wants her stepdaughters Luna, 12, and Isla, 11, to name the new arrival.

Asked if she had decided on any names yet, Christine – who does not know the sex of the baby – replied: “Not really, well, sort of. We kind of have, the girls have, but nothing that is definite at all.

“And it would be lovely to pick something that the girls have chosen, so we’ll see how it goes.”

Frank’s suggestions of a footballthemed name would have been thrown out the window anyway if his daughters’ wish comes true – as both of them desperately want another sister.

Luna and Isla are Frank’s daughters from his first marriage to Elen Rives.
