YOU can tell a lot about a person from what they cram into their holiday suitcase. Take the eight famous single women who’ve come to share a sunshine villa on the Greek island of Naxos for ITV’s new reality show OUR SHIRLEY VALENTINE SUMMER (9.30pm).

“I’ve brought my microfibre cloths,” reveals Aggie MacKenzie, formerly part of the Kim and Aggie cleaning duo who hosted a long-running Channel 4 series called something like Your House Is A Bleeding Pigsty You Scumbag. “One for cleaning, one for buffing…”

“Chewable vitamin C, 1000 grams,” adds Ingrid Tarrant, Chris’ ex, as she unpacks her own bag.

“I think I’ve brought about 20 bikinis,” confesses Lizzie Cundy, former wife of ex-footballer Jason.

But the baggage they’re all keen to offload is the emotional kind, as each looks to build herself a new future. Ingrid, who hasn’t been in a relationship since she and Chris split in 2006, says: “I could see myself easily falling in love again. But it would be very difficult to find someone to fall in love with…”

The others sharing the villa are Melinda Messenger, Sian Lloyd, Ninia Benjamin, Annabel Giles and Nancy Dell’Olio. And early indications suggest some are more self-confident than others.

Nancy, 56, says: “I don’t see any downside of getting older. I’ve never looked more beautiful.” PRISON (9pm) is a revealing new Channel 4 documentary series, filmed at HMP Durham. Episode one includes a look at the drug problem it faces, and the inventive if painful ways in which some inmates try to cheat the testing system.
