GIRLS Aloud star Nicola Roberts is too scared to walk her dogs after prosecutors bungled the case against her stalker ex.

Former soldier Carl Davies was last year given a liftetime restraining order and 15-month suspended jail sentence.

Within weeks of the sentencing Nicola said to her “utter disbelief ”, Davies began following her on her Instagram account.

“He wanted me to know he was still watching me,’’ she said. The Crown

Prosecution Service accused him of breaching the court order.

But Nicola, 32, said prosecutors later dropped the case and offered no evidence after ruling there was little prospect of conviction.

She has now had an apology.

Nicola said;

“You are too scared to take the dogs out for a walk because when someone plants vicious seeds you just imagine every possible outcome.

“When somebody sends a message saying, ‘Those are nice pyjamas’, you think, is he able to see into my house?’’

“This is a relationship which ended 10 years ago. I should be able to move on from an unhealthy relationship if I want to and that has not been able to happen for me.

“You can break up with someone and move to Australia and yet somehow you are still connected.’’ Nicola has offered to teach CPS lawyers how social media works and how intimidating threats can be made.

Last week she briefed a session of the Women’s Aid committee, chaired by MP Jess Phillips and has been inundated with messages from the public.
