STEVE BRUCE has been given the green light to carry on as Aston Villa boss.
Bruce kept his job after talks with the club’s new majority shareholders yesterday.
A club statement said: “Aston Villa can confirm manager Steve Bruce has met the majority owners and will continue as manager with their full support.”
Bruce’s future had been plunged into doubt with new power brokers Nassef Sawiris and Wes Edens believed to be keen on hiring Thierry Henry.

JOSE MOURINHO has suffered more transfer misery with another snub from Ivan Perisic.
Mourinho is unhappy with Manchester United’s lack of movement in the summer window and reckons he needs two more top signings to turn his side into serious title contenders.
