Medic’s treatment angers viewers

DR Alex George went from hero to zero as he cruelly dumped stunning Alexandra Cane.

The A&E medic has turned into “Dr Evil” over the way he has treated the make-up artist who was smitten with him.

Last night he told her bluntly: “It’s over. I can’t help but feel how I feel.” And she sobbed: “You led me on!” Fans have turned on the former favourite.

They branded him “a love rat”, “snakey” and “an arrogant t**t” and one even commented: “Turns out you weren’t the hero the villa needed after all.” His actions also mean he has blown any chances of winning Monday’s finale and £50,000 prize as he is now single.

Dr Alex – dubbed the “show’s gentleman” – was one of the most popular contestants as viewers followed his search for romance which always ended in disaster.

He coupled up with Samira in week one but they stayed friends not lovers, he lost out to Eyal Booker in the battle for Megan, paired with Grace in Casa Amor but she got dumped from the show, then got a kiss from Ellie, who ditched him.

When beauty Alexandra arrived and clearly fancied him, fans had high hopes he had found Miss Right.

Last night the pair went on an epic date with Alex whizzing Alexandra about in a red Ferrari.

Afterwards, she got the feeling that something was wrong, despite Dr Alex reassuring her that he was looking forward to being with her when the show ends.

Back at the villa, he confided to Jack Fincham: “It doesn’t feel right.”

And the heartbroken Alexandra told Dr Alex: “You haven’t been honest with me.”
