FACTOR WANNABES GRAB GOLD
Free pass to Judges’ Houses
FOUR lucky X Factor acts will get a golden pass straight to Judges’ Houses this year.
TV chiefs have decided to shake things up on the talent show.
The twist will happen at the nail-biting Six Chair Challenge stage of the contest.
In the past, 12 acts in each category sing for survival in the hope they will be picked and given one of six prized seats up for grabs. However, no-one was safe.
If all six places were filled early on and then a better singer came along, the judge could boot them out of the chair and replace them with someone new.
The challenge is widely regarded as the most stressful and tear-jerking part of the competition.
However, this year, there is a change.

The judges, Simon Cowell, Louis Tomlinson, Robbie Williams and Ayda Field, are being given four golden seats.
If there is an act that they love and definitely want at Judges’ Houses they can guarantee them a place there.
They will press a golden X on the desk and send the singer or band to “a golden seat”.
A source said: “It basically means four lucky acts will get a guaranteed safe seat to Judges’ Houses.”
Yesterday, the judges discovered the categories they will mentor this year.
Robbie will look after the groups, Louis has the boys, Simon the girls and Ayda has the overs.
