MY long-term boyfriend has been spying on me and I don’t know if I can forgive him.
He’s done on all sorts of stupid things in the past.
He hid my passport so I couldn’t go on holiday with my friends and drove me out of town so I couldn’t attend an interview.
But this time it feels as though he’s gone too far. For the last few months he’s been obsessed with a new guy I work with. He’s convinced himself we’re having a sexual affair. We’re not – but nothing I say convinces him otherwise.
I first got the feeling I was being watched in a wine bar. My old boss was leaving the firm and there was a strange man in beard, dark glasses and baseball cap looking at me. I saw him again at a taxi rank.
A few days later I saw him outside my workplace taking pictures on his phone.
Now he’s confessed to everything. He’s showed me hundreds of pictures of me all over town. The irony is that the colleague he’s so paranoid about is gay.
How am I expected to stay with a man who is so distrustful?

Maybe your boyfriend does claim to love you, but he certainly doesn’t own you.
From hiding your passport to creeping around in the shadows, I don’t like the way he operates one bit. Where is the trust or the respect? Also, didn’t matters finally lurch into the realms of farce when he donned a false beard, sunglasses and baseball cap to spy on you?
I wonder what your friends and family think of him. I’d love to hear their opinions. My feeling is that he went too far regarding your new colleague.
He stalked you, invaded your space and made himself look an utter fool. Please dump him before he makes you a laughing stock and cramps your style again.
