Rattled Rhinos are rallied by Cuthbertso­n

ADAM CUTHBERTSO­N has issued a rallying call for Leeds to save their season.

The Super League champions have crashed into a relegation fight after a torrid year, which saw Brian McDermott sacked last month.

But they get some relief from those troubles tomorrow when they face Warrington in the Challenge Cup semi-finals in Bolton.

And prop Cuthbertso­n has urged his Rhinos team-mates to put everything they’ve got into getting to Wembley – and leave their league worries for later.

Pressure

He said: “The reality has hit home that we are in the bottom eights and there’s nothing we can do about it so we have to stop panicking about it.

“We just have to go into this weekend’s semi-final properly focused on that and not worry about what comes later.”

Cuthbertso­n is the perfect man to talk about staying calm under pressure.

His partner Cerise gave birth to their first baby last Friday, so there’s the new juggling act of fitting training around sleepless nights.

Cuthbertso­n, 33, is also facing another momentous milestone today when he leads the Leeds women’s team into their Challenge Cup final.

The Aussie has coached them all year and admits their final against Castleford Tigers in Warrington helps take his mind off his own cup dreams.
