‘Paedo stepdad split my family’

A DAUGHTER has revealed her disgust after her mum opted to stick by her paedophile second husband – and even poses for photos with the monster during jail visits.

Paula Mathers, 35, was just four when mum Tina left her dad to marry the family milkman David Holliday.

In 2008 Holliday was jailed over 16 counts of sex offences against two children, including rapes.

Paula was horrified to find Tina, now 56, was determined to stand by him. That’s when Paula confronted her mum – and it destroyed their relationship.

She wrote to Tina, who now lives in the Leeds area, to tell her how disgusted she was by her decision.

Paula said: “I don’t love my mum any more because she chose to stand by him.

“I wrote a letter and told her exactly what I thought about her.

“I know she read it as the very next day her Facebook settings changed to remove her place of work from it.”

Paula has spoken out now as Holliday, 55, applies for parole despite only being eight years into his 16-year sentence.

His hearing will take place next week.

Paula said: “I wonder who else is out there who may have been affected by this and hope by me speaking out that they may have the bravery to come forward.”
