BY rights I should be moving into a new flat today.

I should be filling shelves, hanging curtains and preparing for an exciting new life with the man I love.

Only he’s decided to move back in with his ex-girlfriend and I’m still at home with my parents.

I’ve lost the deposit on the flat we were planning to rent together and I feel like my whole world has come crashing down on me. Meanwhile, he’s posting grossly insensitive pictures of him and his lover on social media and telling the world that he’s never been more loved up and happy.

I was ecstatic back in January when he suggested us getting a place together.

I went all out to find the perfect location and bought loads of stuff.

But then I got a text – a text!! – telling me that he’d changed his mind. We haven’t spoken since.

I feel wretched, let down and completely stupid. How can I ever pick myself back up off the floor?

JANE SAYS: Please give yourself time to shout, scream and call your ex-partner every name under the sun. Punch your pillow, go swimming and get all of your energy and anger out of your system.

Then, when you’re feeling strong again, vow to rise up and take back control of your life. Sadly, he wasn’t right for you. His cowardly behaviour has proved that in spades. You had a decent life before him and you can have an even better one now he’s gone. You cannot allow this setback to defeat you.

Draw up a wish list of everything you want to do, see and achieve – and then make it happen.

At least you have a roof over your head and supportive family. Now your best form of revenge is sparkling success.

Go for it and leave him to post away to his heart’s content.

?? ?? But I only want him for sex That’s just not possible, you know I’m busy It would kill your kids if you left them for me, think about it You didn’t say no – oh Ruby I love you so much Well, let me see you more during the week! Anything Oh go home Oh God! I don’t want him full-time I’ll just have to tell my wife and then I can be here all the time That’s not going to work, think about it They’d get over it
