A BURGER King addict has lost 17.5 stone after ditching her two Whoppers a day.

Care assistant Paula Tilley had ballooned to 31 stone by the age of 38 after bingeing daily on burgers, pizza and cola.

In a single year the fast food junkie would gorge on 730 Whoppers and 1,000 litres of sugar-filled cola.

Surgery

But doctors said she would be dead within two years.

The warning served as a wake-up call so she saved up and booked to have gastric bypass surgery.

Paula said: “I didn’t want to be dead. I wanted to be well to see my nephews grow up and to have children of my own. I knew I wasn’t strong enough to do diets and stuff like that because I had tried them all. I knew I had to do something that was going to change my life forever.”

Paula, now 44, dropped an astonishing five stone in the first month and found the confidence to sign up for online dating.

She soon started chatting to David and within a week the pair were an item.

Paula, from Bridgwater, Som, is now saving to get excess skin removed.

The 13st brunette added: “It’s been exciting to see the changes to my body.”
