ROXANNE’S GOT 3 SECRET FELLAS
ENGAGED former Emmerdale star Roxanne Pallett has three other men in her life.
She might be ready to get hitched to fiancé Lee Walton who proposed just a week after they met. But Roxanne has three famous “guardian angels” who look after her behind the scenes. They are Good Morning Britain host Piers Morgan, Cold Feet actor John Thomson and East 17’s Tony Mortimer. Roxanne, who entered the Celebrity Big Brother house on Thursday, explained: “Piers is my go-to for advice on work as he is brutally honest. If I sit on the fence about something he gives me the honest answer.
“When I asked him about doing Celebrity Big Brother, he just said ‘Go get ’em. This will be amusing’. He had the deciding vote.”
The star also credits John and Tony for privately helping her over the years as she went through dark times after quitting her role as Jo Sugden in Emmerdale in 2008.
She said: “I was a typical showbiz story. You gain friends when you have money and you’re on telly but once you leave, the phone stops ringing, your so-called friends disappear.
“I didn’t deal with it very well. I lost all self confidence. I felt abandoned and didn’t even want to go out.
“But I’d known John and Tony for many years and they were there for me. They were pillars of strength. They were Guardian Angels and still are.”
Roxanne admits a recent stock car crash has made her look at life differently.
She smashed into a concrete wall at Hunmanby Raceway, in North Yorks, last month, and temporarily lost the feeling in her legs, neck and head as well as spraining both wrists and suffering severe bruising.
She said: “When I realised how lucky I had been, it changed my view of life. Now I say, ‘Why tiptoe around? Why be scared? Life is for living’. That’s why 2018 is the year of saying yes for me.”
