CARL FRAMPTON insists the pressure of his dream night at Windsor Park will ensure he doesn’t slip up against Aussie underdog Luke Jackson.

The Belfast hero takes on littleknown Jackson (right) tonight with the interim WBO featherweight title on the line in front of 25,000 fans at the home of his beloved Northern Ireland.

There is a lot at risk for former two-weight world champion Frampton, with a clash with IBF title holder Josh Warrington close to being agreed for later this year. And his city also expects him to sparkle on the big occasion at the national stadium.

But Frampton said: “I have always been involved in high-pressure situations, there have always been expectations on me.

“I take it in my stride. I have no special training to deal with that. It is just the way I am, I can cope with it and I believe I can use it to push me on. It works for me – I let it work to my advantage.”

Frampton, who lost his WBA featherweight title to Leo Santa Cruz last year in his only defeat, accepts his career would end if he loses tonight.

He added: “I want to be world champion again. If I lose this fight my career is over, that’s the truth.

“I want the big fights and bigger names than Luke Jackson. Leo Santa Cruz, Oscar Valdez, Josh Warrington – these are the guys I want.”
