Santo’s ready to deliver
WOLVES boss Nuno Espirito Santo says Leicester’s “amazing” title story is the inspiration for every Premier League side.
He takes his newlypromoted team to the King Power Stadium having already toppled the Foxes in Europe.
Nuno was boss at Porto when Claudio Ranieri’s title heroes crashed 5-0 in the Champions League in Portugal.
But he still insists the Leicester story is a template for any of the hopefuls who can only gaze enviously at the top six.
Nuno said: “What they achieved was amazing. It says success can come when you don’t expect it.
“It was fantastic and I had the chance to congratulate Claudio personally when we played them.
Eager
“But that’s all in the past. What happened has no bearing on this game. It’s going to be tough.”
The Wolves boss feels his youngsters let the occasion get to them as they kicked off their season with a 2-2 home draw against Everton and is eager they don’t fall into the same trap again.
He said: “We didn’t start well and overdid a few things. We have the youngest squad in the Premier League.
“You have to use your head and the best way is to control your feelings.
“Sometimes they were rushing things. That’s understandable because of the occasion but something we want to avoid.”
Record signing Adama Traore could make his first appearance since his £18m switch from Middlesbrough.
The 22-year-old looks likely to be on the bench after recovering from a shoulder injury.
