Dragons pass Ricketts’ test
LEADERS Wrexham are answering all the questions asked of them by new boss Sam Ricketts.
The Dragons notched their third away win of the season by beating 10-man Eastleigh 3-1 and Ricketts said: “I asked some questions of my players before the game and they went out and answered them.
“I’m a demanding manager and I’m asking a lot at the moment and the players are giving me a lot.”
Mike Fondop-Talom hit his fourth in five matches against the Spitfires, who had defender Andrew Boyce sent off for two needless bookings in three minutes.
Halifax’s Jonathan Edwards heaped more pressure on former England manager Peter Taylor by hitting the winner in the 2-1 defeat of secondbottom Dagenham.
Fylde’s Danny Rowe claimed his fifth of the campaign when he notched a double in the 4-0 rout of Dover.
The unbeaten Coasters are third behind Halifax and boss Dave Challinor said: “It was really pleasing to come away with a clean sheet.”
Solihull Moors twice came from behind to earn a 2-2 draw with Sutton, while Bromley’s Junior Ogedi-Uzokwe ended Gateshead’s unbeaten run with an 88th-minute winner.
Salford’s Danny Whitehead hit a last-minute winner in the 3-2 defeat of Chesterfield and boss Graham Alexander said: “It was a physical battle and we had to dig in to get the points.”
