THE British woman who survived 10 hours in the sea is thought to have jumped off a cruise ship after a row with her boyfriend.

Sources in Italy insist police believe it is “most likely” Kay Longstaff took the plunge herself and there was “no foul play” involved.

The news came after it was revealed the 46-year-old pulled through her ordeal by singing and yoga.

Air hostess Kay tumbled into the sea near Pula, Croatia, from the seventh deck.

Her partner, reported to be expat electrician Craig Rayment, has been questioned and he is said to have told how they were drinking and had an argument before he left her.

Pals raised the alarm after she went missing and left her handbag and passport on the ship.

Railings

A source said: “We have seen the footage and we are happy that there was no foul play involved.

“The footage has been viewed and you can clearly see she was there on her own when she fell.

“She was not pushed. The theory we are working on is that she most likely jumped.” Photos show the Norwegian Star cruise liner has safety railings that are about 4ft high.

Passengers reported that she had been involved in arguments throughout the day and a pal, who did not want to be named, said she had a “troubled past”.

Ship worker Daniel Punch, who was on-board the ship, claimed she “jumped” after “arguing with her fella all week”.

Kay, from Cheltenham, Glos, claims she fell off the ship.
