LUCAS Moura reckons the stress of playing for Spurs helped make him go bald.

The winger has lost his locks at an alarming rate over the past five years.

And he blames the stress of leaving his native Brazil to play in Europe.

Our pictures show just how quickly the 26-year-old shed his barnet after moving to Paris Saint-Germain for £38million in 2013.

After flopping in France, Moura joined Spurs for £25m in January this year but has struggled to get in the team since then.

The footballer, who scored against Fulham on Saturday, admits family genes may have played a part.

He said: “So what happened? It was the family, right?

“My father, my brother, everyone bald.

“And it’s like Europe, too. Everyone thinks it’s a thousand wonders. But there’s that stress, too.”

Harley Street hair transplant surgeon Asim Shahmalak agreed the pressure of adjusting to playing in Europe could have accelerated Moura’s baldness.

He said: “Both physical and emotional stress can contribute to hair loss.

“Moura’s struggles with PSG and Spurs may well be a factor in his hair falling out.”

But Mr Shahmalak added: “If he starts banging in the goals like he did on Saturday then we could see an improvement in his hair.”
