WOMAN CRIED RAPE TO HIDE SEX WITH BOY

Four years’ jail for teenager romp

A DRUNK woman who seduced a 14-year-old boy accused him of raping her.

She was charged with three offences of sexual activity with a child which she at first denied.

Four months later she changed her mind and admitted one of the allegation­s which the prosecutio­n accepted, ending the need for a trial.

Sentencing was adjourned for a background report in which Stubbs repeated her claim the boy had made the advances. But as Stubbs was jailed for four A TAXI driver who beat up his disabled lover claimed she suffered her injuries as they were “play-fighting” in bed.

Anthony Gibson’s ex-girlfriend told police he held her down by the neck, squeezed her throat and punched her repeatedly, leaving her badly bruised.

She said she felt “defenceles­s” as she had lost the use of her legs following a car crash and could not fight him off.

Gibson, 22, from Redcar, North Yorks, denied assault by beating but was ® years, her lawyer Jane Foley told Durham Crown Court her client no longer stood by that account.

Ms Foley said: “The defendant was very intoxicate­d at the time the offence took place and, whatever limited recollecti­on she has is not just limited, it’s distorted.’’

Shaun Dodds, prosecutin­g, said drunken Stubbs began by kissing the startled youngster on the neck and cheek as he played on a gaming machine.

He tried to fight off her advances but she “flopped on top” of him, undid his trousers and performed a sex act on him.

Then she removed her leggings and they had full sex.

But Mr Dodds said when Stubbs was questioned she claimed the boy had raped her.

Judge Jonathan Carroll said in “directly accusing” the boy of rape Stubbs had shown “little or no remorse” and would be sentenced on the basis she had “pointed the finger of blame” at her victim. found guilty after a trial at Teesside magistrate­s.

He told a probation officer before he was sentenced he still maintained he had not harmed her deliberate­ly and “felt sick when he realised he had caused the bruising”.

He was given a nine-month community order including 20 days of rehab and ordered to pay £500 compensati­on.
