TODAY’S Challenge Cup Final has more X Factor than the hit TV programme could ever dream of.

But the sheer drama and individual skill that could unfold makes it impossible to pick a winner.

That’s the feeling of Jerome Guisset, who will be the only man in the stadium happy whoever wins.

The 40-year-old former France international is a legend at Catalans Dragons, having played and coached there for 12 years.

He’s also a big favourite with Warrington fans after a five-year spell at the club and he now lives in the town again.

Guisset, whose wife is from Warrington, said: “I could not have wished for a better final – it is absolutely fantastic for me.

“Catalans are my hometown club but Warrington have always been so good to me and now half my family is French and half English.”

Guisset worked under Catalans coach Steve McNamara last year, his swansong campaign after a seven-year spell as assistant coach.

He knows the Dragons squad inside out and is also closely involved at Wolves because he works for My Protein, who supply their player supplements.

But Guisset insists it is difficult to split the two teams, saying: “For the first time in a lot of years you cannot pick a winner.

“Catalans were the form team in Super League until their last two results and Warrington are peaking at the right time, so it’ll be a very tight final.

“Both teams are very similar defensively and offensively – they create the same threats – so both teams need their X-factor players to shine.

“Both teams have X-factor players who could win the game, particularly the two full-backs, Stefan Ratchford and Tony
