JOE GOMEZ could make a massive difference to Liverpool this season and it won’t be long before he’s back in the England team.

I think he’s good enough to become a starter for Gareth Southgate at the next Euros if he stays injury free.

I watched the Crystal Palace game and he really impressed me. Liverpool struggled to defend the counter-attack last year.

But when Palace broke, Gomez had the pace to recover. There was one point when he was in a race with Wilf Zaha and he got there first.

Dejan Lovren gets himself in trouble when he’s isolated because he doesn’t have any pace, but Gomez does.

He’s highly rated and I think he could shine this season playing next to

Virgil Van Dijk, who is always talking and organising. I think that will help him.

Gomez will be back in the England squad soon and he’ll play umpteen times for his country if he carries on the way he’s going.

I think he’s been a really good signing for Liverpool and this could be his year.

WATFORD have Stefano Okaka back available for selection following his recovery from a leg injury. Nathaniel Chalobah and Gerard Deulofeu are not yet match fit while Miguel Britos has a knock and sits out alongside long-term absentee Tom Cleverley (Achilles). CRYSTAL PALACE will be without Aaron Wan-Bissaka, who serves a one-match ban after his red card against Liverpool on Monday. Joel Ward and Martin Kelly are boss Roy Hodgson’s options to slot in at right-back.

Last season: Watford 0 Crystal Palace 0.

Top scorers: Roberto Pereyra (Watford) 2; Jeff Schlupp & Wilfried Zaha (Crystal Palace) 1.

Referee: Anthony Taylor.
