Yobs meet for organised pitched battle

ENGLISH football hooligans are staging Russian Ultra-style organised fights.

Rival Millwall and Brentford thugs met on a muddy field surrounded by graffiti-strewn walls for a prearranged brawl.

It was filmed and posted on social media pages, with witnesses declaring the threeminute free-for-all a draw.

The video was being touted online as the UK’s first organised fight between rival factions of fans.

It mirrors footage online of rival mobs of Russian hooligans from different clubs meeting up for arranged fights in woods.

Videos of men, women and even child Ultras in training appeared on hooligan websites before the World Cup.

But Russian threats to target Three Lions’ fans failed to materialise.

The World Cup was virtually trouble free thanks to a pre-tournament crackdown ordered by president Vladimir Putin on known thugs.

The filmed fight between Millwall’s U22 crew and Brentford U22s in London was so organised one man dressed in red appeared to be acting as a referee to make sure the hooligans observed rules of combat. “Leave him, leave him, he’s had enough,” he told one of the brawlers who was kicking his opponent as he lay defenceless on the ground.

At the end of the scrap, the bloodied and muddied men all shook hands and parted ways peacefully. Followers on a hooligan Instagram page were not impressed. One wrote: “Just a load of handbags.” Another added: “Did anyone actually land a punch or was it just pushing?”
