Joe tells Radio Times: “I want to do Dianne proud although I did think an American Smooth was a coffee. I’ve got a lot to learn.” The 15 nervous celebrities are all gearing up for their first dance in front of the TV judges on Saturday’s show. Some have embraced the Strictly makeover.
Vick Hope confessed: “I’m like a magpie. “I love getting covered in sequins and glitter and sparkles.”
But BBC news reader Kate Silverton, who is with Aljaz Skorjanek, may have gone too far.
She confessed: “My mum said: ‘You look a little too brown’, so I’m MIXED DRINK: Joe going to ease up on the fake tan.” Comedian Seann Walsh – who is being taught by strict Katya Jones – fears she may make him go topless to win votes.
He teased: “If Katya wants to see the chest then the British public will have to see the chest.”
And Susannah Constantine threw herself into her routine with Anton du Beke so much she injured her ribs. She laughed: “Anton thought I’d ripped my dress, but it was just my muscles ripping.”
Meanwhile, Red Dwarf star Danny John-Jules fears he might injure his partner Amy Dowden because of his lack of co-ordination. He said: “She will have painful toes by the time I’m finished with her.” ¬ÊStrictly airs Saturday on BBC One at 6.15pm.
