Killer now a smelly wreck

YORKSHIRE Ripper Peter Sutcliffe is a shambling and incontinent wreck.

The nearly-blind serial killer wears a catheter and bag due to bladder problems.

But Sutcliffe, 72, often forgets to change his bag and his clothes are drenched in urine.

The killer – who was taken out of jail to hospital in Sunderland last week due to bladder issues – has been bombarding ex-wife Sonia with phone calls and letters begging her to visit.

Sonia claims she cannot afford the trip from Bradford to Frankland Prison, County Durham, where he is serving

20 life sentences.

She used to benefit from a travel subsidy when he was in a psychiatric hospital. A EXCLUSIVE source said: “He is devastated and fears she is cutting ties. She has always visited him in the past but she says that cost is now an important factor.” Sutcliffe lost the sight in his left eye in

1997 following an attack by an inmate. The vision in the right one went after an injection, which was supposed to clear the blurriness caused by diabetes, went wrong.

Due to his poor eyesight he is assigned a “buddy” who earns

£12 a week to look after him. The source added: “Sutcliffe stinks because he can barely keep himself clean. His clothes are filthy.

“He just shuffles around with the help of his mate as he can barely see to get about.’’
