ANDREAS IN SARRI PLEA
ANDREAS CHRISTENSEN has spoken out about his lack of playing time at Chelsea and opened the door to a possible exit.
Blues players including Ross Barkley and Cesc Fabregas have lined up to praise the Maurizio Sarri revolution after an 11-match unbeaten run.
But Danish centre-back Christensen has yet to play in the Premier League this season after becoming a regular under former boss Antonio Conte. He said: “It has been a hard start of the season. I had looked forward to getting our new manager.
“We play really good football – explosively and offensively, all you can wish for. So that’s great, but it’s really annoying that I’m not on the pitch when it happens.
“It has been difficult to get into the team, and when we get the good results that we currently do, it will only be even harder.”
Christensen played 40 times for Chelsea last season but his only appearances this term have come in the Europa
League and Carabao Cup.
The 22-year-old has found himself behind
David Luiz and Antonio
Rudiger in the pecking order under Sarri.
With Rudiger pulling out of the Germany squad with a groin injury, Christensen could find a way back in.
But he said: “I cannot stand to have so much patience again. I really want to play.
“In the last three seasons I’ve played.
“It’s too early to talk about when to change if
I’m going to change.
“But it is clear that it is not a good situation for me.” WEST HAM star Andriy Yarmolenko has challenged a Ukrainian pundit to a fight.
The £17.5m winger is upset after being criticised by TV commentator Wladimir Kobelkov.
Yarmolenko, playing well after a slow start to the season, was taken off in Friday’s loss at Brighton.
The 28-year-old said: “In my youth I fought a lot. There was wins and there were losses.
“It’s normal for a boy, for a man. I want to announce my next fight. I don’t want to listen to that Kobelkov any longer.
“I want to call him out for a fight and get my revenge. I’m waiting for an answer.”
Yarmolenko is in the Ukraine squad to face Italy in a friendly tonight and the Czech Republic in the Nations League next week.
