Leona’s horses ban fury

- By PETER DYKE

X FACTOR bosses were told “Only fools use horses!” when a stunt backfired.

They had lined up a grand entrance for former show winner Leona Lewis and US singer Adam Lambert, inset, as special guest helpers at Ayda Field’s Judges Houses shoot in Los Angeles.

Producers wanted the duo to arrive at the luxury villa in a fairytale horse and carriage.

The horses were decked out in glitter and feathers.

And the camera crews were all ready to start filming... until Leona saw red.

The animal rights campaigner hit the roof and told TV bosses there was no way she would participate in the “pantomime”.

An on-set source revealed: “She is big on animal rights and did not like the idea of horses being dressed up like dolls just for the TV cameras.

“She just said: ‘No way’. It held up filming, but fair play to her. She has strong beliefs and sticks by them.”

Show producers backed down and found a white limousine for Leona and Adam.

The pair must help Robbie’s wife choose the best singers in the overs category.

Viewers will see how they get on when ITV airs the final two Judges Houses shows this weekend.

Liam Payne is a surprise guest helper with Louis Tomlinson in Ibiza.

Asked whether there could be a One Direction reunion soon, Liam said: “I would hope one day– when we’re all ready to go forward with it.” Mum Forced Me To Do
