IS Fiat making an early start to Christmas? This week the Italian auto giants announced two new cars guaranteed to tempt both boys and girls. I’ll leave you to decide who each car is aimed at. First off, in “Cortina Grey”, is the new Fiat 500 Collezione special edition, right, available as a convertible or a hatchback with a fixed sunroof.

Other colour choices include Crossover Black, and a Bordeaux and Tech House Grey combo called “Brunello”. All Collezione models get “copper” finish wheels and a “Collezione” boot badge.

Fiat says: “With an exclusive new combination of colours, materials and details, the 500 Collezione will win over anyone who loves cool looks and style.”

Whatever paint job you decide on, these special Fiats all come with a

1.2-litre 69hp engine. They’re on sale now with prices starting at

£14,060.

Next up is the new range of Abarth 595s. Work your way up from the starter 595, with 145hp,

0-62mph in 7.8s and 130mph, through the 160hp Trofeo and

165hp Turismo (both 7.3s and

135mph) to the top of the range Competizione, with a whacking

180hp. Top speed of this miniature bullet is 140mph while 0-62mph comes up in 6.7s.

The car pictured, left, is in a modest “Adrenaline Green” colour that ensures no-one will notice your arrival except the entire world, including cops.
