Celeb couple on their marriage woes
DAVID Beckham revealed his marriage to Victoria is “always hard work” and has grown more complicated over time.
The football legend opened up about his 19-year marriage in a preview clip for an Aussie TV show.
He told The Sunday Project: “To have been married for the amount of time that we have, it is always hard work.
“It becomes a little more complicated. Sometimes it’s the little things that make the biggest difference. I’ve noticed that with my children.”
The former Manchester United and England star, 43, and Victoria, 44, tied the knot in July 1999.
They have three sons – Brooklyn, 19, Romeo, 16, and Cruz, 13 – and daughter Harper, seven, but have been dogged by rumours of marriage trouble
David was accused of an affair with his personal assistant Rebecca Loos, 41, while he was playing for Real Madrid in 2004. Former Posh Spice Victoria has hit out at the gossips. She told Vogue: “People have been making stuff up about our relationship for 20 years.
“So David and I are pretty used to ignoring the nonsense and just carrying on as normal.
“But then these things have a wider effect on the people around us and that’s unfair.
“We both realise we are stronger together than we are as individuals.” Victoria added: “It’s all about the family unit. “We respect that family bond and that is key.”
