Holly is bugged

New bush trial hell

I’M A Celebrity host Dec Donnelly reckons his terrified new sidekick Holly Willoughby will be “worse than Gillian McKeith” when it comes to jungle life.

The This Morning presenter is taking over from Ant McPartlin on the ITV show next month in Australia.

But she admits that she is petrified of creepy crawlies, snakes and spiders.

Yesterday her daytime co-star Phillip Schofield gave her a taster of what life would be like Down Under by making her face one of the dreaded Bushtucker Trials which the celebrities do to win food for camp.

Holly had to put her hands inside three crates and guess what was inside by touching the objects but she proved a screamer throughout shrieking “I can’t do this” and “I’m going to cry.”

She freaked out not realising the wooden boxes actually contained harmless surprises including a remote-controlled spider, fluffy kittens and last year’s winner Georgia Toffolo.

Following her TV trial, Dec tweeted: “Just watched @Schofe put @hollywills through a BushtuckerTrial on @thismorning.

“She was worse than Gillian McKeith! What the heck are we in for!?”

In 2010, You Are What You Eat star Gillian was a contestant on I’m A Celebrity and proved a disaster as she was too frightened to do many of the trials and left her camp-mates starving.

The highlight came when viewers voted for her to do a live trial and she fainted on air and had to be seen by medics.

Holly did not enjoy her “Jungle experience” on This Morning.

Afterwards she claimed when she co-hosts the show with Dec, she will tell the stars not to do the challenges if they are too scared.

She said: “I don’t know how the celebs do this.

“I’m going to tell them: ‘You don’t have to do this, they won’t starve you, they don’t let you die, it’s a telly show, don’t feel the pressure’.”

Holly is a stand-in for Ant who has taken the rest of the year off to focus on his health after his drink-drive crash.
