BAND VOW TO STAY SOBER

-

X FACTOR winners RakSu have vowed never to get caught falling out of clubs like past contestants.

The boys say they’ve learned from others’ mistakes. They insist hard work will keep them on the straight and narrow. Myles Stephenson told me: “One thing that we have learnt and that the boys have personally taught me is that hard work does pay off. “Before the X Factor shows we were having like two to three hours’ sleep a night – tops.

“With previous acts I can’t vouch for how hard they worked, but we will continue to try our hardest.”

Ashley Fongho added: “We are just aware we have a lot of work to do to build our careers for the rest of our lives.

“Once that’s done then we can go party and celebrate.”

The lads have avoided riding off the back of other people’s success and asking for collabs, despite having a flurry of music pals including Little Mix.

Ash said: “We love the Little Mix girls and know if we called them they’d probably say yes.

“But we want to be at the right level of success so we feel we deserve it; so it’s mutual rather than them doing us a favour.”

On Sunday night the group returned to The X Factor stage to perform new single Freak Like Me and have been forced to deny they were miming.

However, they’ve shrugged off the comments and are preparing to hit the road supporting Olly Murs on tour next year.

And they’re worried his cheeky behaviour may rub off on them.

“We’ve got to keep him and Myles away from each other. I think they’ll end up wreaking havoc,” Ashley laughed.
