PRINCE Harry showed his caring side as he blasted royal aides who tried to rush him away from a war widow on his tour Down Under.

Harry’s outburst came as he was speaking to Gwen Cherne, whose Afghan war hero husband Peter Cafe took his own life in February.

The pair chatted about mental health in the armed forces as they climbed Sydney Harbour Bridge together.

Harry’s aides told him it was time to move on but the angry Prince told them: “I’m in the middle of a conversation.”

He then continuted to chat with the Invictus Games ambassador.

Gwen was “humbled” to speak with Harry about

“grief and loss”.

Grateful

She said: “He stopped and said: ‘I’m in the middle of a conversation, and I’m not going to leave this.’

“We were talking about my story and mental health and how difficult it is still, in our society, to talk about grief and loss and suicide.”

They also talked about how important things like the Invictus Games are for “allowing people to start to have these conversations that are great to have”.

Gwen, 41, added: “I was humbled by the opportunity to spend that time with him and grateful for all he is doing given his place in the world.”

Yesterday Harry and his pregnant wife Meghan travelled on to Fiji, where they were said to be “overwhelmed” by the welcome in the South Pacific island’s capital Suva.
