JEALOUS EX-LOVER’S FAKE TERROR ALERT
Bombs planted in rival’s car
A JILTED lover sparked a terror alert after planting bombs in his rival’s car.
Riyaz Khan, 27, made two devices from fireworks. He then hid them in the car of his ex’s fiance along with a bomb-making manual and child porn.
Khan called the police and hoped to frame his rival as a terrorist and paedophile.
Officers sealed off a street in Leicester and evacuated 40 houses as Army bomb disposal experts were called to the scene.
Khan was jailed for three years and nine months at Leicester Crown Court after admitting criminal damage and attempting to pervert justice.
Stuart Lody, prosecuting, said Khan had wanted to “take vengeance”.
