Aubameyang poised to clip Eagles’ wings
IT has been a funny old season so far at Selhurst Park.
I’m scratching my head as to whether Roy Hodgson’s men will be in trouble or not come next May.
They look sure to struggle tomorrow when Arsenal come to town and while I’m not really a fan of tipping odds-on shots I cannot ignore the 8-11 on the Gunners right now.
The Eagles are 15th in the table which is probably about right for a side who have managed two wins and a draw in their opening nine games.
But here is where it gets worrying – they have scored just five goals in that time.
Wilfried Zaha has scored or assisted 80 per cent of those goals, yet the winger has never scored against tomorrow’s opponents.
I’ve never been one to fancy Arsenal to win with a clean sheet to their name – regardless of the opponent – and while both teams have scored in six of their last eight meetings, I do like the look of Unai Emery’s side winning to nil at a tempting 12-5.
This is a fixture Arsenal often do well in, – unfortunately for Palace. one very much falls into that category.
Title contenders? Far from it. But with everyone around them picking up points, I can’t see anything but an away win tomorrow.
If you are after a bit more value, throw a goal from Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang (right) with the Arsenal victory at 9-5 which would extend their winning run to 12 games.
