CORONATION Street actresses have set up a secret WhatsApp fitness group to help them keep their figures in good shape.
The stars swap messages spurring each other on to exercise.
They also use the social networking site to set up meetings at gyms so they can work out together.
Soap insiders say the messaging system has helped the stars tone up and attract a new army of viewers.

Brooke Vincent, 26, who plays sexy Sophie Webster, said WhatsApp messages from her TV pals help to keep her motivated.
She told Closer magazine: “Fitness is a big part of my life.
“I go to a gym in Manchester with a few of the girls I work with on Corrie.
“We WhatsApp each other and have a group chat to motivate ourselves and meet there for an hour’s workout.”
Brooke launched her own fitness drive after losing a stone when she appeared on ITV’s skating show Dancing On Ice. But she revealedd the advantages of exercising were more than just purely physical.
“For me the best improvements were the mental benefits,” she said.
“I really surprised myself. I quit smoking and found a new work ethic.
“My confidence soared throughout.” She added: “Dancing On Ice really did make a long-lasting impact on me and my lifestyle. I’ve been a lot more productive since the show. Honestly, the show completely changed my outlook on life.”
A soap source said: “Several of the girls are on this WhatsApp group and since it started we’ve noticed they’re all in tip-top shape.
“It’s private so no-one can earwig what they are saying to motivate each other, but I would imagine there has been a little butt-kicking on occasions.
“The bosses will be happy because having a group of superfit stunning stars can only attract viewers.”
