A DAD looked at his phone and was horrified to see a burglar prowling near his toddler son’s cot.

Oliver Wallace was having a pint when he received an alert from his indoor security camera.

When he accessed the camera on his mobile, he saw the female intruder rummaging through cupboards in two-year-old Sam’s room.

He called police but the woman and an accomplice made off with a haul worth more than £10,000.

Oliver, 37, was having a pint with his brother when he got the alert warning of movement inside his home in Warlingham, Surrey. He said: “I thought it must be the cats doing something silly so I took a look. To my horror and disbelief I saw a woman crawling around on my son’s floor.

“I started shouting, ‘I can see you.’ But the signal wasn’t working properly and she didn’t seem to hear me.”

Luckily, Sam was not in his room as he had boarded a plane to Florida with mum Sally that morning. Oliver added: “I had asked my brother to go for a drink because I was home alone.

“I’ve had the locks changed, but I don’t even want to leave the house.

“I know it’s unlikely they’ll come back, but I just want them caught.

“My baby was sleeping in that room earlier that day. Just seeing this woman inches from his cot was so upsetting, chilling really.”

A Surrey Police spokesman said: “One offender can be clearly seen in the footage and is female, white, with long blonde hair and wearing a hooded top and jogging bottoms.”
