He’s finally cracked US
ROBBIE Williams is finally a hit stateside.
Las Vegas casino bosses have booked him for a second run of shows.
That’s before he has even stepped on stage on the famous strip.
The Angels singer, 44, had been booked to perform in the luxurious Wynn Hotel and casino in Las Vegas for six nights in March.
Fans of the former Take That star, who has tried and failed to break America in the past, clamoured to get a ticket and snapped up seats to the residency so quickly casino chiefs rushed to re-book him for a summer slot.
Yesterday, tickets on re-sale site Viagogo were being flogged for more than £750.
One gutted fan who had tried to book tickets to the sold out show vented her frustration on Twitter.
She fumed: “Tried to book tickets to see you in Las Vegas for my husband’s 50th birthday surprise, but all sold out. Please can you help?”
One desperate superfan took to social media to beg for a special VIP ticket that includes a selfie with the star. The follower said: “Anyone wants to sell @robbiewilliams VIP photo package ticket for March 8th or 9th? I’ll pay $800 (£623).”
Tickets for the second run of shows in June went on sale yesterday for between £42 and £92.
A spokesman for the venue said: “Wynn Las Vegas is pleased to announce additional show dates have been added to Robbie Williams’s exclusive Encore Theater debut.
“Fans of the award-winning performer will now be able to catch the highly-anticipated production in summer 2019, with six back-toback dates – June 19-29.”
When Robbie announced his original casino run earlier this year he told fans it was a “dream come true” that would let him “follow in the footsteps of some of the greatest entertainers of all time”.
Yesterday, as soon as the tickets went on sale, hundreds of people logged in at once to try and bag themselves a sought-after ticket.
For one date alone, almost 700 people were locked in a virtual queue to get tickets to the show.
